Iva Valent

Piano, Accompaniment

Iva is a music educator and performer with over 25 years of teaching experience and 34 years of playing. Holding a diploma from Humber College's Music program and achieving RCM Level 10 in piano, along with Level 3 in Harmony and History.

Outside of teaching, Iva enjoys a variety of hobbies, including playing the piano, cooking, creating engaging videos, and drawing. A lover of video games, Iva often draws inspiration from their diverse interests to make music lessons more relatable and fun.

As an educator, Iva is committed to keeping the learning process enjoyable while developing technical skills. By integrating students’ personal interests with traditional learning materials, Iva fosters an environment that encourages creativity and performance. Specializing in custom arrangements across all genres, Iva tailors lessons to meet each student’s unique goals, creating practice tracks and video tutorials to enhance their learning experience.

Music can be both a fulfilling hobby and a vital means of personal expression. In every lesson, the focus is on helping students retain their initial inspiration and develop a sense of discipline and confidence. Iva hopes that through music, students not only learn technical skills but also build a sense of community by connecting with other musicians.
